What is the Procedure for Certificate Attestation for Saudi Arabia?

Certificate attestation for Saudi Arabia is a very clear and transparent process.   The certificate attestation in Saudi Arabia is carried out for the following three types of documents educational, employment and commercial.

Mandatory requirements for educational certificates for Saudi Arabia

Regarding educational documents attestation, the following points are mandatory with respect to the educational certificates.

1) The concerned applicant should submit the documents directly to an approved agency for authentication and not to the Cultural Division of the Saudi embassy.

2) The Cultural Division will not proceed with the attestation of the certificates without submission of documents by an approved agency.

3) No distance / correspondence / Open University / Private learning or Diploma / degree certificates will be attested by the Saudi Cultural division.

4) All the educational certificates have to be first attested by the HRD of the respective state in India, from which it originates.

5) Educational documents along with original job offer / Job agreement duly attested by Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) need to be submitted. The Job Offer / Job Agreement should contain a HR reference number.

6) The work experience certificate attestation for Saudi Arabia is done, provided the certificate has been attested before by the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).  The Experience certificate should have a Reference number, Iqama number and the visa number of the relevant period.

7) A photocopy of the passport is mandatory.

8) A photocopy of the Iqama if any, and Visa is mandatory.

9) For submission, only original mark sheets for all semesters along with the original degree/diploma are permissible.

10) For those candidates who have been selected by the Ministry of Health, Medical Attache from the embassy has to issue a confirmation letter. The letter has to be submitted.

11)  For those candidates who have been selected by the Ministry of Defense, Military Attache from the embassy has to issue a confirmation letter. The letter has to be submitted.

12) Or those candidates who have been selected by the Ministry of Higher Education, Cultural Attache from the embassy has to issue a confirmation letter. The letter has to be submitted.

13) Along with the application, a signed Declaration form as prescribed by the Cultural Division of the embassy must be submitted.

Educational Certificate Attestation process for Saudi

Next, the process of attestation commences for educational certificates. First, the HRD of the respective state has to attest the certificates. After that, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will approve it. Following, which the Saudi Cultural Attache attests it and finally, the attestation is done by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, New Delhi.

Non educational Certificate Attestation process for Saudi

Regarding, non educational documents, first, the State Home Department of the respective state has to attest the certificates. After that, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will approve it.  Finally, the attestation is done by The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, New Delhi on both original and translated documents.

Commercial Certificate Attestation process for Saudi

Concerning commercial documents, in the beginning, attestation is done by the respective Chamber Of Commerce. After that, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will approve it.
